PFLAG // Blog // PFLAG Nashville to participate in Yes2Kids Conference
The “Yes2Kids Conference 2005” will bring together many educators, youth workers, counselors, school resource officers, and others who are working on a daily basis to improve the lives of young Tennesseans. The conference is a collaboration of state and local programs and was created to provide outstanding training and network opportunities for those who share a common belief in the potential of all youth.
PFLAG Nashville is excited about participating again this year in the Yes2Kids Conference. We will be sending members to speak about gay issues and answer questions in a town hall format. Our attending members will represent different backgrounds; straight, gay/lesbian, parents and sons/daughters.
Participating in this conference allows us to help improve the understanding of GLBT people in our schools.
